While hiatuses can seem like torture, we have some good news in the meantime.
The CW released the synopsis for the March 29 episode of The Flash, and with it comes a return engagement from Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne!
The title of the installment is "Flash Back," and yes, Barry will be going back in time.

The official synopsis, which also seems to indicate the team will find out what we have already been shown, that Jay Garrick is Zoom, is below:
Or Earth-3 or wherever else The Flash wants to hang his hat.
After all, Harry Wells and Jesse have made their way over to Earth-1 from another world, why not some other favorites?
Alright. We won't get carried away, but since the last time we saw Eddie we were sobbing into Kleenex after he heroically sacrificed his life to save a world, we're thinking popping up here and again is a small favor to ask.

The official synopsis, which also seems to indicate the team will find out what we have already been shown, that Jay Garrick is Zoom, is below:
After the shocking revelation that Zoom is Jay Garrick, Barry is
more determined than ever to get back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom forever.
Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to
travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get
his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to
run faster.
However, things don’t go as planned and Barry is stunned to face
familiar foe Hartley Rathaway, as well as old friend Eddie Thawne.
Iris makes peace with her past in order to embrace her future.
Now that the door is opened for Cosnett to work with his old pals on The Flash Season 2, we don't see any reason he shouldn't also have a doppelganger on Earth-2, either.Or Earth-3 or wherever else The Flash wants to hang his hat.
After all, Harry Wells and Jesse have made their way over to Earth-1 from another world, why not some other favorites?
